2015 McNeil All-State Team

Athletes who have times/scores which are in the top eight throughout the entire season earn First Team All State Honors.  The next eight earn Second Team, and the next eight earn Honorable Mention.  The following Mavericks are now on the 2015 All State Team.

First Team

Second Team

Girls 200 Freestyle Relay (Cara Chin, Azea Gluff, Christine Gozdalski, Mackenzie Glava)

Boys 400 Freestyle Relay (Ross Sullivan, Nick Shomper, Josh Sullivan, Josh Harris)

Honorable Mention

Girls Medley Relay (Christine Gozdalski, Mackenzie Glava, Cara Chin, Kaitlyn Freeman)

Ross Sullivan - 50 freestyle

Boys 200 Freestyle Relay (Ross Sullivan, Nick Shomper, Josh Sullivan, Josh Harris)

Josh Harris - 100 breaststroke

Not a bad year for McNeil Swimming & Diving.  Congrats to all these well deserving kids!!!

Water polo tryout update...

The 2015 water polo tryout is going to be this Monday and Tuesday from 6:30 AM until 8 AM at Willowbend pool.  The address can be found below...

McNeil Water Polo Tryouts update...

All interested McNeil HS Water Polo prospects, I am still in search of a pool for our tryouts. BUT, please look at the below information which is extremely important and necessary should you want to tryout. Not all of the information was covered at the meeting last Friday so read close...

Tryouts will be Monday, March 23rd, from 6:30-8:00 am. (Possibly Tuesday as well) You will need to be able to provide your own transportation to the pool as well as to school after tryouts.

YOU MUST BRING...

1. Physical examination by a doctor on RRISD form(see below link)

If you have competed for McNeil in another sport this year then you already have one on file. If not, you MUST have one with you in order to tryout.

Monday, July 13th AND Tuesday, July 14th
7:00 - 10:00am (both days)

***Please be early in order to complete information forms, confirm physical evaluation clearance, turn in grades, AND give yourself a good warm-up before tryout begins promptly at 7 AM***

YOU MUST BRING...

If you got your physical through McNeil HS you still have to bring a copy of the physical to tryouts. NO PHYSICAL = NO TRYOUT!...NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

2. COPY of most recent report card(new swimmers only)

3. Swimming apparel and equipment(goggles, suit, cap, etc.)
     - Divers should expect to attend Monday's session only.  I only need contact information for you and your parents as well as contact information for the club and coach in which you train(divers must be trained by a licensed diving coach outside of RRISD).  You will not be required to dive at tryouts.

4. Running apparel(shoes, shirt, shorts, etc.)(we will run first)

5. Phone number(parent's AND swimmer's)
